Located just off Newport's iconic Cliff Walk, the 16-room Cliffside Inn had good bones and a rich history, but its interiors called for a redesign. Drawing inspiration from Beatrice Turner, the noted 20th century artist who lived in this former stately mansion at various points from 1907-1948, we created a sophisticated jewel-toned design that hints at her eclectic persona while also keeping with the time period. Each room has a unique design, and a palette of deep green, blue, and eggplant hues contrasts with traditional shapes ranging from four-post beds to armoires and ornate side tables. Vibrant wallpapers and accents give the hotel a modern feel, ensuring that the new Cliffside will appeal to repeat guests and first time visitors alike.
