When approaching the design for this home, Rachel Reider Interiors focused on incorporating a diverse palette of textures to bring out many of the best features of this architecturally-significant home. A rich combination of sophisticated fabrics, metals, wood and even stone came together to provide great depth to the contemporary setting. To soften the environment for this family of four, we mixed in unexpected furniture shapes - such as a circular sofa, tufted ottoman and curved chairs - with classical undertones re-imagined in a more modern way to suit the overall architecture of the home. An understated hint of glamour, achieved with mirrored surfaces, light-reflecting fixtures and the occasional sparkling object, provided the finishing touch.
